Today imma gonna ramble on ma work y'all. That is, AMS. Advance Medical Science.
As what had happened and is happening and will happen in the future (insyaAllah), i am currently enrolling in this new kinda world, a world that is so full of R.E.S.E.A.R.C.H thingy. It is a condition in which it is all about excitement at first, depression comes next, feelingless sometimes, and excitement returns back later at all of a sudden. In a more understanding word, research is always, complex. Though sometimes it is easy.*what the shoot am i talkin about? see what it had done to me?*
Ok, well actually it depends on which phase you are.
Phase 1 : Getting to know your supervisor and colleagues that u'll be workin with
- ok this will always be the most awkward moment encountered in life ever, at first. This phase is where you'll learn the skill on how to communicate with your boss. You'll also learn new communication skills and sometimes learn how to joke with them too! and after a certain interval of time, you'll neutrally be opened with your boss and talk and discuss and give opinions. and sometimes share some certain tiny minor things about each other's life. Now I feel so much closer with almost every lecturers compared to before. Oh and here, you'll get to know more great people, dangerous people, stinkyheart(busuk hati) people, so-so people, and the last part is, you'll have new connections/cables. Yes, the last part is indeed an advantage.
Phase 2: Proposal Write Up
- not so many things to comment about this. But this phase is where you are initially exposed to what research is all about, on papers. You'll learn how to look for input sources, learn how to organize things accordingly, learn new technologies in methods and so much more. Oh this part also taught me to be a well disciplined person because it forced me to read.
Phase 3: Quotation quotation quotation
- this is where you learn business and learn how to manage your money, and meet some good-looking suppliers. and learn some chinese accent. hehe
Phase 4: Lab Experiment
- the most fun part. i like this part here.
Phase 5: Some problems in the middle
- yadayada hi ha. yadayada hi ho.
Phase 6: Result analysis
- oh this one taught me how to think and manipulate your data to relate it with something. it taught me to turn some simple basic data into something wow! It basically teaches you how to make a full use with your data. when you thought that your data is just a simple basic one, but when actually it can turn to be the opposite of it. you can turn it to be any grand that u like, as long as you think.
Phase 7: Progress report presentation
- this is where you'll meet your boss's boss. And your boss's boss's colleagues which will comment on your work, and shoot questions, and correct your work, and give some brilliant ideas, and empower your objective, and shoot another questions that you can't answer.. oh i love this part coz i know that this will keep me stay on track.
Phase 8: Another problems showing up
Phase 9: Writing
- oh this one is quite hard to start. sometimes the mood to become artsy in words just don't come. well, force force force we will.
Ok for some excellent research students out there *which is obviously not me*, they'll skip no 5 and no 7. oh wait, no. Nobody will not have problems. Because every researches have their own problems/limitations.
